Privacy, in plain language.

You choose each dish photo. We use it to provide the analysis you request. We do not require an account, sell personal information, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

At a glance

The short version: Your selected dish photo is sent to Google’s Firebase AI Logic service when you ask for an analysis. Your session history and saved photo files remain on your device unless you explicitly share or save them elsewhere. RevenueCat and Apple process purchase information needed to unlock Fix Pro.

What we process

  • Dish photos you choose: the photo you capture or select for a scan, plus an after photo when you choose to rescan.
  • Your rescue context: the generated diagnosis, selected taste correction, prescribed move, completion state, and taste verdict.
  • Purchase information: product, transaction, entitlement, renewal, and restore status associated with an app-generated customer identifier.
  • Service and security data: technical request, integrity, performance, error, IP address, and device or app-instance information that Google, Apple, or RevenueCat may process to operate and secure their services.

Fix This Dish does not ask for your name, email, contacts, precise location, health data, advertising identifier, or a social account. The current app does not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Dish photos and AI analysis

A photo leaves your device only after you take or select it and request analysis. The app sends that image and a cooking-analysis prompt to Google through Firebase AI Logic’s Gemini Developer API, then receives a structured response. We use that response to provide the requested diagnosis and rescue steps.

Google’s processing, security, retention, and potential model-improvement practices depend on the API service, billing configuration, and your region. Review Firebase AI Logic data governance, the Gemini API terms, and Google’s privacy policy. Do not photograph people, documents, addresses, or other sensitive information; frame only the food you want analyzed.

We do not use a dish photo to claim exact calories, allergens, ingredients, seasoning, or safe internal temperature. AI output can be wrong. Use a food thermometer and trusted food-safety guidance where appropriate.

Purchases and Fix Pro

Apple processes all payments. Fix This Dish does not receive or store your payment-card details. RevenueCat receives an app-generated customer identifier and purchase or subscription history to determine whether Fix Pro is active, restore access, and support purchase troubleshooting. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy policy.

Data stored on your device

Session history, analysis results, taste choices, and the local image files needed for before-and-after history are stored in the app’s private container on your device. If you choose “Save to Photos” or share a transformation, iOS sends the exported image only to the destination you select. Those copies are then controlled by Photos or the receiving service.

Deleting the app removes its local private data, subject to iOS backup behavior. Copies you saved to Photos or shared elsewhere must be deleted from those destinations separately. App Store purchase records remain with Apple and can be restored.

Legal bases and retention

Where applicable, we process data to perform the service you request, fulfill the purchase contract, protect the app against abuse, and meet legal obligations. We retain local app data until you delete the app. Service providers retain data according to their own terms and operational requirements.

Your choices and rights

  • Use the camera or the system photo picker; the picker can provide only the item you select.
  • Decline camera or photo access in iOS Settings. The unavailable input method will not work.
  • Choose whether to take an after photo, save to Photos, or share.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings and restore purchases in the app.
  • Delete the app to remove its private local history.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise a right. Because the app does not use an account, we may have limited ability to identify server-side records as yours.

Children

Fix This Dish is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old to use the AI analysis service.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product or service providers change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
